Max Schumaker shut down Orchard Lake St. Mary’s Prep throwing a complete game shutout and leading the Maples to a 13-0 victory on Thursday. The Maples secured the victory thanks to sending 15 batters to the plate and scoring nine runs in the second inning. Alex Maxwell, Nick Contis, Johnny Vecchio, Lucas Simmons, Schumaker, and Scott Simon all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Schumaker earned the victory allowing zero runs on two hits, striking out five and walking one. The Maples tallied 12 hits. Alex Oancea, Justin Miller, Zach Ziegler, and Simmons all had multiple hits for Seaholm Maples Varsity. The Maples played clean defensively and didn’t commit a single error in the field. Oancea had five chances in the field, the most on the team.
