Bats Blistered As Seaholm Maples Varsity Falls To North Farmington In High-Scoring Game

Both North Farmington and Seaholm Maples Varsity had their offenses going on Monday, but Seaholm Maples Varsity eventually succumbed 10-8 in the high-scoring affair.

North Farmington fired up the offense in the second inning. #17’s sac fly scored one run for North Farmington.

North Farmington took the lead for good with five runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth #13 doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring three runs.

Seaholm Maples Varsity put up four runs in the third inning. Nicholas Jen, Grant Wanecek, and Jim Love all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Player #5 got the win for North Farmington. The hurler lasted four innings, allowing five hits and one run while striking out three and walking zero. #3 threw one and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Wanecek was on the hill for Seaholm Maples Varsity. Wanecek allowed eight hits and nine runs over three and two-thirds innings, striking out three. Drew Bell and Joe Sheldon entered the game from the bullpen, throwing two and a third innings and one inning respectively.

Player #11 started the game for North Farmington. The bulldog went one and one-third innings, allowing three runs on two hits

Seaholm Maples Varsity totaled 12 hits. Granden Kinnie, Jen, and Sam Schumaker each managed multiple hits for Seaholm Maples Varsity. Kinnie led Seaholm Maples Varsity with three hits in four at bats.

North Farmington scattered 13 hits in the game. #8, #13, #15, and #5 each collected multiple hits for North Farmington. #8 went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead North Farmington in hits.
