Seaholm Tryouts Start Monday, March 11

- Monday, March 11, 4pm to 6pm. at 2SP Sports Performance

To be eligible to tryout, two critical points:
- You must first complete the registration on Seaholm’s website. You will find this under the ATHLETICS tab. or visit https://www.birmingham.k12.mi.us/domain/536
- Your player must have a physical on record from this year, or get a physical prior to tryouts.
Also, following tryouts and the teams are selected, the First Pitch Dinner is scheduled for Monday, March 18, in the Seaholm Cafeteria, beginning at 6pm.

Maples Lose Well Played District Semi to Brother Rice 1-0
The Maples surrendered single run in the bottom of the first inning and despite several opportunities, could not get the tying or go ahead tally across the plate and lost to neighbor and rival Brother Rice 1-0 in a District semifinal game at Groves HS on Saturday. The pitching was strong on both sides.
Nick King took the loss for Maples. He surrendered one run on three hits over five and a third innings, striking out one. Scott Simon, Max Schumaker, and King each collected one hit to lead Seaholm Maples Varsity.
MAPLES WIN LAST 3 REGULAR SEASON GAMES - FACE BROTHER RICE IN DISTRICT SEMIFINALS
The Maples hope the momentum of winning their last 3 regular season games carries into their District semifinal game against the Brother Rice Warriors on Saturday, June 2nd at Crosby Field at Groves High School. Game time is approximately noon and MHSAA mandated admission price is $5 per person. Come on out and cheer on your Maples!
Maples Defeat Walled Lake Northern 13-7
The Maples captured a 13-7 victory over Walled Lake Northern HS Saturday afternoon. The Maples got the lead in the first inning when Scott Simon tripled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs. After Walled Lake Northern scored one run in the top of the second, the Maples answered with one of their own. The Maples took the lead for good with five runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Liam Gough singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run and Max Schumaker doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run. Jack Sheldon got the win; he allowed 12 hits and six runs over five innings, striking out one. Johnny Vecchio threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen. The Maples tallied 15 hits on the day. Alex Maxwell, Alex Oancea, Schumaker, Lucas Simmons, Simon, and Gough all managed multiple hits for Seaholm Maples Varsity. Maxwell led Seaholm Maples Varsity with three hits in three at bats.
